It is designed to reduce the number of young people not in education, training or employment. Channel Tunnel rail link bill This will clarify the legal and regulatory position of the Channel Tunnel rail link, ahead of a restructuring of the company that built the link. What's at Issue
Among the disputed issues surrounding Brian Mulroney's relationship with Karlheinz Schreiber, there are probably five key questions the public inquiry will try to answer: 1 Did Mulroney, as prime minister, help Schreiber in his business dealings and receive kickbacks as a result? Schreiber is alleged to have received commissions from European companies doing business in Canada. The principal accusation in the Airbus affair is that he paid some of that money to Mulroney and Progressive Conservative lobbyist Frank Moores, for influencing the 1988 sale of Airbus jets to Air Canada. Mulroney denies any wrongdoing, and has been exonerated by an RCMP investigation. Yet Mulroney admits accepting three, separate, $100,000 cash payments from Schreiber soon after the former prime minister left office.
