THE antigraft court may go after the assets of Joseph Estrada�s mistresses and children if they are under the former President�s name, an official said Sunday. The Sandiganbayan has filed a writ of execution against Estrada, saying his pardon for plunder does not cover his civil liabilities. �So long as the account is under the name of Joseph Estrada,� such asset is covered by the forfeiture order of Sandiganbayan, Clerk of Court Renato Bocar told The Manila Times on Sunday. He said the forfeiture is not limited to the bank accounts of Estrada that were mentioned during his plunder trial but to all the accounts registered under his name, whether with his wife, or children or other persons. �If it is a joint account with Joseph Estrada and it appears that he is the absolute owner, even if it is in a joint account, it is covered by the decision of the Sandiganbayan Special Division once he fails to pay the amount involved in the ruling,� Bocar explained.

Police arrested three St. Albans residents for allegedly trying to pass a stolen check at a bank in South Charleston. According to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court, Jason Lee Pauley, 26, Patricia Ann Riffe, 44, and Brenda Kay McCune, 38, used the drive-thru window at the Huntington Bank branch on Seventh Avenue. A cashier called the account holder, who confirmed that the check had been stolen. The account holder later told police that people matching the suspects' description had knocked on his door earlier and asked to use the phone, the complaint states. When police arrived at the bank, the car was still in the drive-thru at the bank, and the two women were still with the car, South Charleston Police Cpl. L.S. Thomas wrote. Pauley was arrested on a street corner opposite the bank.

BofA Won't Renew Omnicom Deal
NEW YORK As it begins a review of media chores, Bank of America has confirmed that it would not renew its contract with Omnicom Group to manage and coordinate its advertising and marketing services when the agreement expires in March 2008. Omnicom's BBDO, the current lead creative agency, is getting first crack at becoming the primary shop under a new arrangement designed to give BofA more flexibility to work with resources outside Omnicom. (In that position, BBDO would still continue to guide all BofA marketing initiatives.) .
